4/26/08-- In the past week, 10 baby birds have hatched, including a zociety finch!! Here are the kinds of birds that have just entered the world:
5 button Quails
1 white zebra finch
6 normal zebra finches
1 zociety finch
2 diamond doves
4/20/08-- I have three button quails that are doing wonderfully! The oldest one is a little over 2 weeks old now, and the other two are 5 days old.
4/3/08-- Sadly, the baby button quail described below fell into a water dish (being used for humidity) and drowned... On the lighter side, I have several more eggs that are due to hatch soon, so keep your fingers crossed!
3/25/08-- I have successfully hatched my first button quail! Let's hope I do the right thing and that he makes it! He's been peeping non stop in the brooder, so I think he'll be ok!
