Now here's a finch you don't see everyday! This is a zociety (cross between zebra and society) finch, who is happily flying around in a large flight cage at her new home. :)
These two white zebras (below) went to the same home, and are doing great! The previous owner had parakeets, and after their death they decided to get finches instead. They're a lot less work (because they don't demand attention like parrots do), and they're just a fun bird to watch chatter!
The same woman who bought the bald dove (below) also bought this finch (brother to Houdini) and his sibling. They chatter away all day in their new homes!
This poor little guy was the first chick from a new pair of doves, which meant that the parents weren't sure what they were doing, and they plucked his head bald! By the time his new owner came to pick him up, all of his feathers grew back beautifully! His new owner had one female diamond dove that had just lost her mate, so this dove is keeping her company. They are both allowed to fly around the room all day long.
These two baby diamond doves went together to a home with lots of aviary birds, so they'll fit in right away!
^This little girl turned out with an unusual color: tan. She's living in the same home as Houdini.
^ Here we have Houdini, a little expert at escaping. He's at a great home now! This is him after one of his many escapes.
